Unilateral Lower Limb Amputations from Traumatic Events: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Background
 Limb amputations are one of the most devastating injuries for young people in traumatic settings. People with lower extremity loss face challenges performing daily activities and managing life-long complications; thus, rehabilitation prostheses critical improving quality life. This systematic review meta-analysis aims to determine outcomes who had unilateral transtibial transfemoral terms mobility, physical activity, prosthesis usage, associated pain.
 Methods
 An in-depth search was conducted on electronic databases PubMed Science Direct September 2022 find studies that investigated health leg amputees. Observational studies, clinical comparative randomized controlled trials English language within last 10 years (2012-2022) were thoroughly screened according Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guideline. The results checked by Newcastle-Ottawa Scale (NOS). current included four observational which comprised 563 patients, 352 transtibial, 211 amputations. RevMan 5.4 software used calculate risk ratios (RRs) 95% confidence intervals (CI) conduct this meta-analysis.
 Results
 pooled effect estimate showed no statistically significant difference between amputees(RR = 1.15, CI [0.93, 1.43], P 0.21) activity. more frequently than those amputations(RR 1.21,95% [1.09, 1.35], 0.0004). There statistical two groups reported pain during wearing (RR 1.03, [0.62, 1.73], 0.91).
 Conclusion
